Apiary Gathering Beehive Inspection at Franklin Park Conservatory
October 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Free
Curious about bees? This free evening gathering lets you get up close to the Conservatory’s hives as members of the Central Ohio Beekeepers Association do a real hive inspection. It is a fascinating, slightly thrilling way to spend an evening with a friend.
What to expect: Watch from outside the enclosure, or take part hands-on with a veil provided by the beekeepers.
Good to know: To go inside the enclosure you will need a jacket, long pants, closed-toe shoes and a signed waiver; light-colored long sleeves are recommended. Inspections depend on the weather and may be called off on short notice.
Where: Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus at Franklin Park Conservatory, 1777 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43203
