Where to Shop Local in 2026
Peak season is here. From May through October, you can find a farmers market open somewhere in Greater Columbus almost every day of the week. This is the freshest, cheapest way to eat all summer, and every dollar stays close to home.
I’ve organized this guide by neighborhood, not by day, so you can find what’s near you first. Each market lists its day and time right in the header. Produce is the headline, but most markets also stock eggs, honey, cheese, meat, bread, plants, soap, and prepared food from local makers.
The Big Picture: How These Markets Differ
Not all markets are the same, and knowing the type saves you a wasted trip.
The anchor markets are the big Saturday-morning institutions with 50-plus vendors, live music, and a real crowd. Think Clintonville, Worthington, German Village, and Dublin’s Bridge Park. Go here when you want selection and a morning out.
The neighborhood weeknight markets are smaller, later in the day, and built around after-work shopping and a food truck dinner. Bexley, New Albany, Bronzeville, and Franklin Park Conservatory fit this mold. Go here when you want fresh produce plus a place to eat.
The daily farm stands run all week long, so they are your backup when everything else is closed. HTH in Linworth and Hoffman’s in Galloway are the two to know.
Don’t-Miss Markets
If you only hit a handful this summer, make it these:
- Clintonville Farmers Market: 50 of Ohio’s best producers and the longest season in town, running April through November.
- Worthington Farmers Market: One of the largest in Columbus, with a genuine main-street feel right on High Street.
- Franklin Park Conservatory Market: The prettiest setting of any market here, and it doubles your dollars for EBT users through Produce Perks.
- The Dublin Market at Bridge Park: Big vendor list, free parking, live music, and dining steps away.
- New Albany Farmers Market: 45-plus merchants and a polished Market Square location.
