If you have a story you keep telling at dinner parties, or one you have never told anyone, this evening workshop is a lovely nudge to finally get it on the page. Thurber House’s A Ticket to the Truth, led by author Liza Monroy, digs into the craft of personal essay and memoir, from finding your story to shaping it into something readers connect with. It is a welcoming, low-pressure way to spend a Monday night investing in yourself.
What to expect: A two-hour, single-session adult writing workshop focused on personal essay and memoir.
